G’day, my name is Andy McLeod and we run a breeding and fattening operation at Wellington in Central NSW.  My desire to start the Ask for Angus movement came about after frustration at not being able to easily purchase Angus beef.
Through my off-farm business, The Perfect Steak Company, I wanted to easily be able to easily purchase and prepare prime quality Angus beef.  The fact of the matter was that it was very difficult for butchers I approached to actually identify or confirm if the meat they were selling was in-fact Angus beef.  Certainly organisations like CAAB have done a great deal to over come this but… I still think more can be done and I hope you do too.
